Bronze Figure - La Renomee (The Fame) - sign. Louis-Ernest Barrias

The adjoining bronze figure is a represantation of Victoria by the French sculptor Louis-Ernest Barrias entitled "La Renomee". Victoria is a Goddess of Victory in Roman mythology. Their Greek equivalent is called Nike. So the title of the sculpture is not surprising: La Renomee means something like "Fame", also: "Victory". The bronze cast is positioned on an attractive marble base. Louis-Ernest Barrias was a French sculptor of the Beaux-Arts school.

In more than 30 operations and more than 100 hours of work, the graceful bronze figure was produced lavishly. We guarantee high standards in all our procedures. Barria’s bronze sculpture was produced with the help of the lost wax method.
