Crucified Christ - Real Bronze - sign. A. A. Weinman
The sculptural representation of the crucified Jesus is a popular subject of Christian motivated, three-dimensional art. In the Catholic Church and the Orthodox, Anglican and Lutheran churches the crucifix is used as a processional cross, altar cross, etc. in worship.
Western crucifixes may show Christ dead or alive, the presence of the spear wound in his ribs traditionally indicating that he is dead. In either case his face very often shows his suffering.
Numerous other bronze figures of renowned sculptors such as Michelangelo, Rodin, and Barlach can be found in our repertoire. Visit our store and let yourself be inspired.
