Energetic Art Deco Dancer - Bronze Sculpture D.H. Chiparus

This is a bronze sculpture by Demetre Haralamb Chiparus. It is made of bronze and decorated with elaborate details. At the foot of the bronze sculpture you will find the signature "D. H. Chiparus".

Demetre Haralamb Chiparus was a Romanian Art Deco era sculptor who lived and worked in Paris. The Art Déco period sculptor Demétre Chiparus created one of the most iconic bronzes in 1928 called "Danseuse au cerceau" or "Ring Dancer" inspired in the famous and prodigious dancer Zoula de Boncza of the Parisian "Folies Bergere", a first dancer of The Belgrado Royal Opera and a Mime dancer of "lOpéra-Comique" in Paris.

The high-quality piece is hand-poured and subjects to strict quality criteria. The sculpture was made by the lost wax method practiced for thousands of years, a multi-step and time-consuming process for the production of art castings. It is 100 per cent of bronze.
